Spacing & Indention Guide (Exam Essentials)

1st Indent (Character 9)

Used for the Main Entry (Author) line. If the title starts the card (Main Entry under Title), the first line starts at the 2nd indent, but subsequent lines return here (Hanging Indent).

2nd Indent (Character 11)

Used for Title, Subtitle, and Responsibility. Subsequent paragraphs like Collation and Notes also start here, looping back to the 1st Indent if wrapping.

3rd Indent (Character 13)

Used when the heading exceeds the second indent space limit. In hanging indention cards, this is where the title starts.
